Master domestic & industrial wiring, motor control, power distribution, and electrical maintenance in 18 months of mostly hands-on training. CTEVT-certified — directly eligible for Electrical Sub-Overseer and technician roles across Nepal.
The TSLC (Technical School Leaving Certificate) in Electrical Engineering — known under CTEVT's current naming as Pre-Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Sub-Overseer) — is an 18-month CTEVT-certified program followed by a further 6 months of on-the-job training (OJT), preparing students for Nepal's steady demand for skilled electrical technicians. Graduates are trained as Electrical Sub-Overseers — the technicians who carry out wiring, installation, and maintenance work across homes, industries, and infrastructure projects.
In line with CTEVT's own course design, the program runs roughly 80% practical and 20% theory. At Gyandev, students get hands-on time with domestic and industrial wiring, motor control panels, and live workshop builds. Our electrical department is led by Er. Sunil Kumar Yadav — a licensed electrical engineer and CTEVT certified assessor with over a decade of industrial wiring experience.
After the 18 months: CTEVT requires a further 6-month, 960-hour on-the-job training placement with a licensed contractor or industry before final certification and registration as an Electrical Sub-Overseer.
